It’s Tuesday and you don’t know whether to look at the glass half full or half empty. So I have something to start off the day on a good fashion note: the latest Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter collection. So take a moment to dive into the 60’s world of Marc Jacobs.
I absolutely love this Jackie Kennedy look on Gigi Hadid and Kaia Gerber also shines out that 60’s vibes with the maxi yellow fur look. This whole collection is an ode to the clean cuts and elegance and the accessories are completely in tone. But if there is one thing I would like to achieve in 2020 is the Marc Jacobs eye makeup: dramatic but still elegant and captivating, I love it! Who knows how to do that?

The after-parties are where the Oscars get funky and they have the looks to prove it !
Josephine Skriver went for an edgy black look with a black ruffled gown. Paris Jackson wore a Versace dress with pastel pink and aquamarine talefeathers. And Candice Swanepoel looks absolutely gorgeous in a Zuhair Murad look that contained the most elegant pair of shorts I have ever seen.
Cobie Smulders looks amazing in a creamy white David Koma cut out dress, that is giving me deep summer vibe. I can totally see myself wearing a top or an overall just like that this summer. Taylor Hill wore a dress by Ralph & Russo which is the exact example of when you put the right dress on the right person. Honestly, had I seen this dress on a rack it might not have sparked my interest, but because the dress combines so well with Taylor Hill’s physical traits and the makeup is well thought, the reunion of these factors makes it a showstopping look. I love this Oscar de la Renta slited dress on Nicky Hilton, because it has a very elegant vintage feel to it, with shiny pleated fabric and rose details on the cleavage.
Diane Kruger stunned in a statuesque Elie Saab silver one-shoulder sequined dress. I was absolutely mesmerised by Ciara, how she rocks this Ralph & Russo dress while being pregnant is beyond me. And the magic touch of this look is the matching black crystal-covered hair band, I love how the simplicity of it contrast with the extravagance of the dress. Finally Rachel Brosnahan wore a beautiful Dolce & Gabbana black dress embellished with crystals.
I always enjoy when there is an event that serves as a good excuse for celebrities to put on luxurious evening dresses, that we wouldn’t get to see elsewhere than on a runway. My top 3 looks from the Oscar ceremony are actually pretty classic and sophisticated, take a look below.
Though I don’t know who Billie Eilish is, I do know that this is the coolest Chanel look I have seen in a while. I like the all-white oversized look with hints of black, combined with the jewelry and a black and neon yellow hairstyle.
Another Chanel look with Lucy Boynton wearing a long waist-cut dress with statement sleeves and couture details. I also have a soft spot for peter pan collars, and this one plays well with the sleeves details.
A Valentino Haute Couture dress for Caitriona Balfe. Simple yet very elegant and very italian, the look is composed of a black mermaid cut dress, with a soft pink silk top and a bow detail.
A fun street style with these Olive Ankara high-waisted pants mixed with a green Bottega Venetta crop sweater. The cropped Nanushka bomber jacket is perfect for a high waisted fit, and these Miu Miu brown leather ankle boots look great with the pants. And my favourite is the Rejina Pyo leather banana snake effect bag !
Although daylight seems to be making its comeback, some winter days remain dark and gloomy. But I have found a style remedy to beat the depressing weather: adding a touch of african print fabric to your outfit, the effect is instant ! Check my different styling ideas below
I love the soft yet warm colours on these Olive Ankara pants. I am also a big fan of yellow during the winter, and this Reformation cashmere sweater compliments the pants very well. To pair with this sweater comes a navy double breasted Gucci coat, and to finish this look black BY FAR leather boots and a Fendi black leather bag.
